Nebraska and KU get ahead early making it difficult to fight back
LAWRENCE, Kan.– Kansas City Softball (5-21) fell to Nebraska (19-9) 11-2 in six innings with two hits apiece from Ally Vonfeldt and Sydney Nichols. In their second game of the day, Kansas City fell to Kansas (17-11) 8-0 in six innings. Camryn Stickel went to the circle midway through the fourth, holding the Jayhawks to one hit and notching one strikeout.

- Top 1 / 0-3 | Nebraska got to an early lead bringing in three runs in the first inning. In the following inning, the Cornhuskers added five more runs.
- Bottom 2 / 1-8 | Nichols got the Roos' first hit of the day, singling to right field. Kathryn Karntaz made the sacrifice, grounding the ball out and sending Nichols to second. Nichols advances to third on a passed ball and was batted in on a single from Kiki McCrea.
