Kansas City Men’s & Women’s Basketball Conference Slates Announced

Roos begin their pursuit of the Summit on the final day of 2025
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Summit League has officially announced its 2025-26 men's and women's basketball schedules, including Kansas City's league slates. The Roos start Summit League action on Dec. 31 and carry on through Feb. 25 for the women and Feb. 28 for the men. The conference season concludes with the Summit League Tournament in Sioux Fall, S.D. in the first week of March.
The men and women will play 16 conference games each, eight of which will be hosted at the Swinney Center and eight of which will be played on the road. In total, Swinney will be home to 16 Summit League basketball contests.
KC Men's Hoops head into the 2025-26 season with plenty of excitement thanks to a new-look roster that includes 13 new players, 12 of which are transfers. Of the many fresh faces, six are transferring in from another Division I school and the other six arrive from the junior college level.
Kasheem Grady II and Jayson Petty are the lone returners from the 2024-25 season that are back for the 2025-26 campaign. Head Coach Marvin Menzies will look to guide KC to a successful season as the Roos' leading man enters his fourth season at the helm.

Kansas City Women's Hoops returns several key pieces from a team that reached the Summit League Tournament semifinals in the 2024-25 season. Included in that mix are junior twin guards Emani and Elauni Bennett, who will look to carry the mantle for the Roos in 2025-26.
Key rotation players Zaire Harrell and Kelby Bannerman join the Bennett sisters in forming the Roos' core for the upcoming season. Additionally, Kansas City brings in eight newcomers ahead of their next campaign. Head Coach Dionnah Jackson-Durrett aims to steer the Roos in the right direction heading into her fourth season at Kansas City.
