Rivera, Barlow Finish as Roos Top Runners at Bob Timmons Classic

Kansas City posted three finishers inside the top 20 for women’s 5k race
LAWRENCE, KAN. - Kansas City Cross Country kicked off the 2025 season at the annual Bob Timmons Classic as the men's team ran a 6k race and the women's team ran a 5k race Saturday morning. The Roos were led by Alanie Rivera, Harper Barlow and Madelyn Russell on the women's side and Kaleb Glazier on the men's side. Russell notchedÂ
Rivera notched a time of 20:02.8 shaving over two minutes off her prior career-best and finishing in 16th place to accumulate 16 points for the Roos. Barlow completed the race with a career-best time of 20:09.7 and came in 18th place to nab 15 points for the Roos. Russell posted a stellar time of 20:24.5 to and net 20th place to net the Roos their third top 20 finisher on the women's side. The men's team was led by Glazier who totaled a time of 20:14.6 to finish in 29th place.Â
