Kansas City Notes
- Kansas City Women's Soccer wraps up regular season play with a game at Omaha and a lot on the line. The Roos are currently slotted to take the fifth-seed into the Summit League Championships, but are within striking distance of South Dakota and South Dakota State with just one game remaining.
- Coming off a five-point week that earned her a spot on TopDrawerSoccer's National Team of the Week, Olivia Platt was the hero for Kansas City in their recent draw with South Dakota State. She scored the equalizing goal in the 84th minute, just eight minutes after the Jackrabbits had taken a 1-0 advantage.
- Delfina Zolesio Fernandez Blanco tallied the primary assist on Platt's goal, bringing her up to a league-leading 25 points on the season. She currenty ranks 26th in the nation in total points and is eighth in the program record books in single-season points.
- With Zolesio and Riley Porter up to three assists on the season, the Roos now have seven players with three-plus helpers this year. Among Summit League teams, only South Dakota State also has seven players who have reached that mark and it ties the 2014 and 2015 Roo teams for the most in program history.
- The Roos enter Sunday's match seeking their first win in a regular season finale since 2019, when KC took down Chicago State, 5-1 in the team's last season as a member of the WAC.
Omaha Notes
- Omaha enters Sunday's game controlling its own destiny. The Mavericks currently sit two points above North Dakota as the final team into the Summit League Championships.
- With three goals and six assists on the year, Kendall Dobberstein is Omaha's offensive leader. She has tallied a goal or an assist in three of the Mavs' last four games.
- As a team, Omaha ranks ninth in the nation in shot accuracy. The Mavericks place 54.5% of their shot attempts on-frame.
- The Roos trail the all-time series, 2-6-2, including a 1-2 record in games played at Omaha.
- Omaha won a 2-1 decision in last year's meeting, which also came in the final game of the regular season.
