Leilani Bustamante earned two hits on the day
KEY MOMENTS VS. QUINNIPIAC
- Top 2 / 0-3 | Grace Batdorf opened the inning with a double to center field to put the Roos in scoring position. A single from Bustamante pushed Batdorf to third, but the Bobcats earned out number three to close KC's at-bat.
- Top 5 / 0-4 | Bustamante earned her second hit of the day, this time with a double to open the inning. A single from Gianna Lickel and a walk loaded the bases for the Roos with one out. Katelyn Maciel reached first on a fielder's choice, but Quinnipiac caught Bustamante at home and forced a flyout on the next play to keep KC off the board.
- Top 5 / 0-17 | Sabrina Rodgers hit one up the third base line, earning Kansas City's first hit against Missouri. Elleana Navarro earned KC's second hit of the day and Rodgers advanced to third on a fielding error. The Tigers earned back-to-back outs to close the game.
The Roos travel to Omaha, Neb. for a doubleheader against Creighton on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
